How Should I Prepare for My Interior Detail?

Getting your vehicle ready for an interior detail is pretty simple. Before your appointment, we just ask that you remove all personal belongings from the vehicle. Here’s a breakdown of what to clear out before we get started:

• Stuff in the center console, glove box or any other storage areas in the vehicle

• Items in door pockets or behind the seats

• Air fresheners

• Trash or anything else stored throughout the cabin

Taking these things out ahead of time helps us jump straight into the detail without spending time clearing things out. For items that are left behind, we’ll bag it up and leave it in your vehicle when we’re done.

We also want to respect your space. So, if belongings are left in the glove box or console, we won’t go into those areas. We can’t always know what is trash or treasure either (some things could be sentimental), so everything gets set aside for you to sort through later!

Removing your stuff also helps make sure nothing gets misplaced, missed, or accidentally damaged during the process.

If you have a child seat or booster installed and want us to clean underneath it, go ahead and remove it before the appointment. But for safety reasons, we don’t reinstall them afterward.

Pet Hair, Heavy Soiling, or Unexpected Surprises? Give Us a Heads-Up.

This 4Runner was in for a recovery detail after a fire extinguisher had went off inside. This took multiple days!

We’re no strangers to pet hair or messes, but if your vehicle has heavy soiling, a lot of hair, or specific issues like spilled milk, heater core leaks, mouse droppings or a fire extinguisher went off (like above), please let us know when you book.  These types of jobs often take more time or need specialized treatments. Giving us a heads-up lets us plan accordingly so we can do the job right and not rush it.

For stains, it's also good to specifically point them out to us and let us know what happened (if you know) to help treat the stain as best we can.

What Happens When You Arrive

When you arrive, we’ll bring your vehicle into the shop, take out mats and get a closer look under good lighting. We’ll check for any problem areas like stains, spills, or spots that need a bit more attention. If we find anything major that wasn’t mentioned ahead of time, we’ll give you a call to keep you in the loop and figure out the best plan moving forward.

If you’re booking a detail for something more specific or unusual (like an interior leak or major spill), we might ask to see the vehicle beforehand. That way we can get a better idea of what’s needed and make sure it’s booked for enough time.

Just so you know, our interior detailing packages don’t include an exterior wash. We consider exterior washes a separate service because we’re not a traditional car wash and our exterior packages start with a thorough hand wash, which requires a bit more time and care. Since interior detailing itself can take a full day (or more, depending on the condition or package), adding an exterior wash could extend the service into the next day. If you’d like to include an exterior wash with your interior detail, just let us know, and we can set that up for you!

A little prep on your end helps us deliver the best possible results on ours. If you ever have questions about what to remove or whether your vehicle needs a regular or more specialized interior detail, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!
