ExoShield is designed for a high level of optical clarity to ensure the driver's view of the road remains unobstructed. When installed on a new windshield, ExoShield only reduces visible light transmittance by 1.5%, which is not noticeable to the naked eye.

When cured, this film has unbeatable clarity with no worry of distortion or haziness.

On average, you can expect to get up to 2 years, but this can be extended with good care and maintenance practices.

For the first couple of days, avoid car washes, driving in rain or wiper use and allow the film to sit in the sun if possible.

After it has cured, you want to keep your windshield clean of dirt, bird droppings or harsh chemicals. You should avoid the use of pressure washers and wash it manually with soap and water instead.

While ExoShield includes scratch resistant hardcoat, dirty wiper blades may accelerate wear. To help you maximize lifespan, your wiper blades should be cleaned with a damp cloth regularly.

In Winter, avoid using a metal or tough plastic ice scraper, as it may cause scratches in the film.

ExoShield is a transparent, thin, layered laminate film that has a nano-composite hardcoat, a flexible shock -absorbing substrate, and a strong ultra-clear adhesive.

Windshield wipers themselves won’t scratch ExoShield. However, the risk of scratching is increased when the windshield is covered with dirt or debris from the road and will sit in the soft material of the wiper blade.

Like any protection method, ExoShield helps prevent damage and having the film will give you much more protection than nothing at all.

But of course, we also know that accidents can happen and ExoShield is not bulletproof.

Yes! Once ExoShield has been has fully cured, it shouldn’t be affected by high heat and humidity or snow and ice.

ExoShield was also designed and tested in Canada, where we have freezing cold winters of -40 and hot summers of +40.
